Sea Chapel is an abstract architectural sculpture – walkable, deep blue, born of stone – resting in the middle of the sea like a lost fragment from another time. A chapel, a monument that exists only in the virtual.

It stands in water, and yet does not seem to sink. Rather, it is a threshold – between image and space, perception and imagination, sound and silence.The work comprises a video installation and an interactive 360° tour, accessible both as a VR experience and a clickable navigation. The camera floats, traces, drifts – without center, without direction. Viewers move through a spatial continuum that serves no function other than this one: to generate presence.Here, the sacred is inverted: it is not the transcendent that descends, but the imaginary that rises. The chapel is not built – it is conceived. An idea condensed into form. A silence made of stone.Sea Chapel is a meditation on the relationship between space and memory, between architecture and solitude. An invitation to dwell in a place that does not exist – and yet can be entered.

Die Meereskapelle ist eine abstrakte Architekturskulptur – begehbar, tiefblau, aus Stein geboren – die inmitten des Meeres ruht wie ein verlorenes Fragment aus einer anderen Zeit. Eine Kapelle, ein Monument, das nur im Virtuellen existiert.

Sie steht im Wasser und scheint doch nicht unterzugehen. Vielmehr ist sie Schwelle – zwischen Bild und Raum, Vorstellung und Wahrnehmung, Klang und Stille.Die Arbeit umfasst eine Videoinstallation und eine interaktive 360°-Tour, zugänglich als VR-Erlebnis oder klickbare Navigation. Die Kamera schwebt, tastet, durchstreift – ohne Zentrum, ohne Richtung. Die Betrachter:innen gleiten durch ein Raumkontinuum, das keinen Zweck erfüllt außer dem einen: Gegenwart zu erzeugen.Der sakrale Begriff wird hier umgekehrt: Nicht das Transzendente tritt herab, sondern das Imaginäre steigt auf. Die Kapelle ist nicht gebaut, sie ist gedacht. Eine Idee, geronnen zu Form. Eine Stille aus Stein.Sea Chapel ist eine Meditation über das Verhältnis von Raum und Erinnerung, von Architektur und Einsamkeit. Eine Einladung, in einem Ort zu verweilen, den es nicht gibt – und der dennoch betreten werden kann.
